CONSTRUCTION HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAM

Flagging Training

The course will cover the fundamentals of silica and respirable crystalline silica, as well as the health hazards and risks associated with exposure. Topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), engineering controls, and safe work practices will be discussed. This 2-hour awareness seminar on silica hazards is designed for those exposed during construction activities, such as cutting, sawing, and crushing materials. Exposure may also occur in operations processing large amounts of sand. Additionally, in accordance with OSHA 1926.1153, which has been in effect since September 23, 2017, the training will address the new permissible exposure limits, specific requirements for exposure controls, competent person, training, and recordkeeping. We have broken down these new regulations to ensure your protection and compliance.
