The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program focuses on the recognition, prevention, and reduction of safety and health hazards in construction work. Course participants can expect to be able to locate and identify OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926, identify common causes of accidents and fatalities in hazardous construction areas, recommend hazard reduction techniques, and recognize various construction processes, materials, and equipment. Upon completion of this 10-hour OSHA training course, the student will be able to: and discuss the means to extinguish them

  • Recognizing workers' rights and employers' responsibilities under OSHA.
  • Identify ways to select the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and rescue equipment.
  • Discuss the risks associated with the unsafe use of scaffolding and its structural components.
  • Define methods to control the four main health hazards (falls, electrocution, struck-by, caught-in) that construction workers may be exposed to
  • Explain the criteria for protection systems used when working in and around excavations.

  • Attend 100% of the course.
  • Complete the Registration Form.

  • Completion of the post-quiz assessment required.

  • Complete the end-of-course evaluation form.

Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities. Otherwise, to be eligible for training recovery, they must have completed at least 50% of the contact hours for the training BEFORE their absence. Students who miss time before completing 50% of the initial class or miss more than 50% of the total time must reschedule and attend the entire training course.
